Jean has joined the cast of Hawaii Five-O, a drama pilot about an elite branch of the Hawaii State Police headed by Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin). She'll play Governor Pat Jameson, who taps McGarrett to form "a federalized unit empowered by the Patriot act, with full blanket authority to hunt big game and get 'em the hell off [her] island." Her character is further detailed as "a rather beautiful woman; local Hawaiian with a Washingtonian's backbone, she's a unique mix of brilliance, grace, and compassion." Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, Scott Caan and Taryn Manning co-star in the CBS Television Studios-based hour, which comes from director Len Wisman and co-creators Alex Kurtzman, Peter Lenkov and Roberto Orci.


Film News ...

Jean will be appearing in the upcoming film Life as We Know It, a comedy about two single adults who become caregivers to an orphaned girl when their mutual best friends die in an accident. The film stars Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhumel and is expected to hit theaters in December.

Jean also appears in the film Barry Munday about a man who wakes up after being attacked to realize that he's missing his family jewels. To make matters worse, he learns he's facing a paternity lawsuit filed by a woman he can't remember having sex with. The film recently previewed at South by Southwest Film Festival.


Fundraising News ...

Jean has joined the Chris Elliott Fund as a board member and as their public spokesperson in its fight against brain cancer.

"It's time to wage war against brain cancer as we do for any other life threatening disease," she said in a press release. "The work that CEF does for people like my sister and all brain tumor patients and their families is phenomenal."

The Chris Elliott Fund is a nonprofit organization which funds the Integrative Patient Support Program at Seattle's Swedish Neuroscience Institute.
