Bamm-Bamm was left on the Rubbles' doorstep after Barney and Betty wished on
a falling star that they would have a child. The Rubbles endured an
unpleasant custody battle in court (and a suicide attempt by Barney) before
they were permitted to adopt Bamm-Bamm.
