A Flintstones' Christmas Carol

Television movie special (November 21, 1994)

      Synopsis:

Fred's ego gets a workout when he wins the part of Scrooge in the Bedrock Community Theatre Christmas play. As opening night draws closer, Fred seems to fall more and more into his part, even neglecting his baby daughter Pebbles and wife Wilma --- who is pulling double-duty as stage manager and costume designer. His arrogance starts to drive everyone crazy, and his obsession with his part causes him to forget to buy presents for his family. When he finally does make it to the store, he is forced to leave his gifts at the store to get wrapped so he's not late for his debut.

Meanwhile, Wilma and the Rubbles get angry with Fred when he forgets to pick up Pebbles from cave-care, and the Bedrock Bug flu starts to overtake the cast --- causing Wilma to have to take over some of the roles. Fred can only think of himself though, until he starts to feel the actual part of Scrooge as he is visited by the ghosts of Christmas. Fred starts to learn the lessons of Christmas and feels the guilt over how he has treated his family in time to give his family the Christmas they deserve ---- but not before being overcome by the Bedrock Bug.
